AllMax CLA 95 Review

Manufacturer’s Claim

The subject of our product review today is AllMax CLA 95. The producer’s of this supplement claim that the product can promote lean body mass and burn fat, which can lead to weight loss. AllMax claims that this product is the safest and most natural way to lose weight, and that it contains an optimal dose of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA).

Formula

The primary active ingredient in this supplement is 1000mg Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA). Of this amount, 95% of CLA is delivered to the body which is 15% higher than many competitor products.

Other Ingredients:

  • Gelatin (bovine)
  • Glycerin
  • Purified Water

The ingredients contain an allergen warning and states that the supplement is produced in a facility that also handles milk, soy and fish products.

Instructions

Take one capsule three times daily immediately before meals. Considering each capsule contains 1000mg of CLA, this is a very high dosage. You might want to start with a decreased dosage and work up as tolerance is built up. The website doesn’t state the best times of the day to take this supplement or if it is ok to take all three capsules in one sitting.

Cost

The supplement is not available for sale on the manufacturer’s website, but we  found a 150-capsule bottle for sale on Amazon for $22.70. There are no first time customer or bulk buying discounts provided by the company website.

Possible Side Effects

The company website states that if taken at the recommended dosage, you shouldn’t experience any side effects. Do not take CLA if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. In our own research we found that possible side effects of CLA include stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, and fatigue.

Guarantee

We looked but did not find any form of manufacturer guarantee nor return policy on the company website. This gives the impression that the company does not stand behind the effectiveness of their product.

AllMax CLA 95 Review – The Bottom Line

In summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of this product we have some positive and more negative comments. In terms of ingredients, this supplement provides a high dose of CLA per capsule. The capsules come in an easy to swallow gel capsule format. The website provides a good amount of background information and a helpful FAQ section. Pricewise, this supplement is quite well priced considering a 150 capsule bottle should last 50 days when taking three capsules per day and costs $22.70 per bottle. We do have a number of less positive comments to add however. There is no manufacturer’s guarantee or refund policy. There is no discount for new customers or bulk buyers. In terms of dosage instructions, the website doesn’t state if there are optimal times of the day to take this supplement or if you can take all three capsules in one sitting. The capsules contain bovine gelatin and are therefore not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. In terms of reviews, we saw that many users complained that the supplement failed to provide any significant weight loss benefits, while others complained of side effects like headaches, or elevated blood pressure. We are also concerned about the very high dose that the company recommends (three capsules of 1000mg CLA per day). We suggest that you seek out a CLA supplement that has a lower and safer daily dosage of CLA, that comes with a better guarantee/return policy, and that provides a bulk buying discount.
