Zeasorb AF Athlete’s Foot Review

Manufacturer’s Claim

This is a review of the product Athlete’s Foot. The manufacturer of this product claims that their product is able to treat athlete’s foot. The formula applies a dual action – stopping the fungus and absorbing moisture. The product soothes the skin, but also relieves the burning, itching, and scaling.

Formula

This active ingredient acts as an antifungal treatment. This substance relieves the itching, as well as the scaling, chafing, and burning sensation. However, it also helps to absorb moisture. Inactive ingredients include aldioxa, chloroxylenol, fragrance, imidurea, powdered cellulose, sodium polyacrylate.

Instructions

The manufacturer of this product recommends that the affected area first be cleaned, then properly dried. Thereafter apply a thin layer of the powder on the affected areas. Do this morning and night (twice daily). Alternatively, follow the instructions of your doctor. Children can use this product, but under supervision. Use this product for four (4) weeks. If the problem persists, speak to your doctor. However, the manufacturer does suggestion that you focus on the areas between the toes. The manufacturer of this treatment product also recommends to wear well-fitting, ventilated shoes, and to change your shoes and socks daily.

Athlete’s Foot Review – The Bottom Line

On the surface this product seems an easy-to-apply product that offers a dual action – treating the problem and preventing the conditions for this problem to occur again. In addition, it should be mentioned that the instructions for using this product are easy and clearly indicated. However, there are some concerns about this product. Firstly, the manufacturers themselves do not seem to offer a guarantee. A guarantee indicates that the manufacturer is confident that their product is effective. The lack thereof does raise some concerns. Secondly, the inclusion of the active ingredient miconazole nitrate (two percent) seems suitable; however, clinical research studies have found that undecylenic acid is best at dealing with the fungus that leads to athlete’s foot. Thirdly, no discounts or package deals are offered, which could have made this product more economical than other, similar athlete’s foot treatments on the market. In the long run, people using this type of product regularly would have saved. Lastly, the use of a powder may prove messy. There are other, more targeted, better research products on the market, which may be a better option than this product.
