Cell Labs CoQ10 + L-Carnitine Plus Review
Cell Labs CoQ10 is a dietary supplement that is said to increase your energy levels. It can also be used as an antioxidant to reduce inflammation and the chance of developing certain chronic disorders. Not all coQ10 supplements are equally effective so we have reviewed this product to see where it fits in.
- Coenzyme Q10 (coQ10) – 75 mg
- Vitamin E – 83 mg
- L-carnitine – 220 mg
- Vitamin D – 3 mg
Coenzyme Q10 is involved with the energy production pathways in the various kinds of cells in the body. It takes part in the biggest phase of energy generation which can generate up to 95% of the cell’s energy. In other words, cells could not produce enough energy without it. If more is taken from outside sources, then it can help the cells to generate more energy.
Coenzyme Q10 also acts as an antioxidant. So do the vitamins. Antioxidants react with and neutralize chemicals that would otherwise react with parts of the cell and cause inflammation. Long-term inflammation can contribute to the development of chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease and antioxidants help to prevent this. Vitamin D helps to reduce calcification or hardening of the blood vessels as well and L-carnitine helps to break down fatty acids so that they don’t get deposited in the blood vessels.
According to the manufacturer a customer can take between one and three capsules per day, each time after a meal. This provides the customer with a dosage of between 75 and 225 mg. In any case the dosage will be below the best we have seen which is 250 mg all in one capsule.
60 capsules can be bought online for around $40. This price does not include shipping or taxes. There does not appear to be any discounts for this product either, whether for buying in bulk or subscribing for a regular order.
Possible Side Effects
Most people should not experience any major side effects when using coenzyme Q10 as daily supplementation. However, people with chronic medical conditions (especially those who take Warfarin) and pregnant and nursing mothers should consult a doctor before using this supplement.
The manufacturer explicitly states that their products are non-refundable, non-returnable and non-exchangeable. We have to wonder why they take this stance because it really just shows to the customer that they are trying to get rid of their products and are not concerned with the customer satisfaction thereafter. It also makes us wonder how confident they really are that their product will work.
Cell Labs CoQ10 + L-Carnitine Plus Review – The Bottom Line
It is interesting that this manufacturer chooses to include a number of other ingredients along with the coenzyme Q10 as most manufacturers just provide the pure form. We are unsure if the multiple ingredients help or hinder the process because the scientific studies were only done on coenzyme Q10. What we do know is that the dosage in this product of coenzyme Q10 is far below the best dosage available. We are also concerned that the manufacturer doesn’t offer a guarantee as this decreases confidence in the product.
